A-LEVEL STUDY RESOURCES

Free A-Level Mathematics, Further Mathematics & Physics Resources

Clear explanations, worked reasoning and problem-solving guidance for A-Level students.

These resources are designed to complement classroom teaching and private tuition, with an emphasis on understanding the reasoning behind a method rather than simply memorising procedures.

The collection will gradually expand with topic guides, worked examples, revision notes and examination-focused material for Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics.

Particular attention will be given to clear mathematical notation, structured solutions and the kinds of mistakes that commonly appear in A-Level problem-solving.

“Understand the method, not just the answer.”

Resources will be added progressively across Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics.

The aim is to build a useful library of explanations, worked reasoning and revision material for A-Level students.

Resources are organised around the main areas of A-Level Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics.

A-Level Mathematics

Pure Mathematics, Statistics and Mechanics, including algebra, functions, trigonometry, calculus, probability and applied problem-solving.

Topic guides and worked examples will be added progressively.

Further Mathematics

Further Pure Mathematics and selected applied topics, with particular emphasis on rigorous reasoning and multi-stage problems.

Further Mathematics material will expand over time.

A-Level Physics

Mechanics, waves, electricity, fields, thermal physics, nuclear physics and mathematically demanding problem-solving.

Explanations and worked problems will be added regularly.

Featured study notes

Short guides to recurring difficulties in A-Level study.

Mathematical working should show the reasoning, not just the final answer.

Clear solutions make each significant step visible, help identify mistakes and can preserve method marks even when a later arithmetic error occurs.

  • SUVAT equations: when constant-acceleration equations can actually be used
  • Integration by parts: choosing the two factors intelligently
  • Physics formulas: understanding assumptions and meaning
  • Clear mathematical notation and examination working
  • Common reasoning errors in multi-stage problems
  • More detailed topic guides will be added progressively

Mathematics & Further Mathematics

Future resources will include worked examples, revision notes and guides covering Pure Mathematics, Statistics, Mechanics and Further Mathematics topics.

The emphasis will remain on reasoning, notation and clear solution structure.

Physics

Physics resources will combine conceptual explanation with the mathematical techniques required for A-Level problem-solving.

Mechanics, electricity, waves, fields and other specification topics will be added progressively.

More resources will be added regularly

This section will gradually expand with detailed topic notes, worked examples, revision material and problem-solving guides.

If you need individual help with a particular topic, face-to-face A-Level tuition is available in Wood Green and North London.
