A-Level Mathematics
Pure Mathematics, Statistics and Mechanics, including algebra, functions, trigonometry, calculus, coordinate geometry and probability.
Individual, face-to-face teaching in Wood Green and North London, adapted to the student's current level, exam board and academic goals.
I provide individual A-Level tuition in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics for students who want to strengthen their understanding, improve examination performance or work towards the highest grades.
Lessons may focus on a particular difficult topic, examination preparation, past-paper work or a structured programme across the course.
My approach is based on understanding rather than imitation. I examine the student's reasoning and written working, identify misconceptions as they occur and develop the notation, mathematical structure and problem-solving habits expected at A-Level.

Specialist support tailored to the student's specification, current level and areas of difficulty.
Pure Mathematics, Statistics and Mechanics, including algebra, functions, trigonometry, calculus, coordinate geometry and probability.
Tuition adapted to the student's exam board and chosen options, with particular attention to rigorous reasoning and multi-stage mathematical problems.
Mechanics, waves, electricity, fields, thermal physics, nuclear physics and mathematical problem-solving across the course.
Main exam boards: AQA • Edexcel • OCR
The lesson develops around what the student is actually doing, rather than around a generic presentation.
“I believe strongly in face-to-face, one-to-one tuition.”
Sitting beside the student allows me to see every stage of their working, identify misconceptions as they happen and correct mathematical notation, reasoning and solution structure immediately.
Tuition can support students who need to rebuild confidence in fundamental topics as well as strong students aiming for A or A*.
It can also provide focused support before mocks and final examinations, after absence from school or when particular areas of the course remain unclear.
Lessons can be taught entirely in English or Italian, or bilingually when useful.
Difficult concepts may be clarified in Italian while developing the precise English mathematical and scientific terminology required for lessons and examinations.
Lessons are available in Wood Green, with home tuition available by arrangement in North London.
